An MPA of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) from Naushehro Feroze district here Monday obtained a protective bail from the Sindh High Court to prevent arrest from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). The petitioner MPA Abdul Sattar Rajpar's counsel advocate Yousuf Laghari informed the Hyderabad Circuit Bench that his client feared detention from the NAB authorities which were investigating an alleged case of corruption against him.
He said Rajpar wanted to cooperate with the investigators and was willing to record his statement. The SHC granted the pre-arrest bail to the petitioner until the next date of hearing against a surety of Rs 500,000. Meanwhile, the respondents including NAB's Chairman and Director General and other officials of NAB have been put on notice for the next hearing for which date will be decided later in the office of the SHC's Additional Registrar.
