The Anti-Corruption Establishment Faisalabad Region has arrested 36 accused involved in receiving bribe, fraud, misuse of powers, forgery, preparing bogus documents and other irregularities during the last month. This was informed by Director Anti-Corruption Establishment Muhammad Ayub Khan during a briefing. He told that the grand operation had been launched by the Anti Corruption Establishment Region to arrest the accused persons absconding in different cases of embezzlement and corruption.
He said 6 private persons including Akbar Ali, Bari Sultan, Tariq Mehmud, Falaksher, Allahyar and Ghulam had been arrested involved in causing loss to the govt exchequer Rs 127.75 million in a case of land acquisition for M-III Industrial Estate Tehsil Chak Jhumra.
Other arrested accused persons included Ghulam Ali SI Police, Muhammad Ali ASI, Abdul Majeed Munshi Patwari, Abdul Majeed Junior Clerk, Zafar Iqbal Constable, Ghulam Murtaza Patwari, Siddique Patwari, Muhammad Ishaq Stamp vender, Muhammad Naeem Patwari, Gulzar Patwari, Ziaur Rehman Ahlmad, Zafar Hayat Bloch SI, Gulzar Ahmad Teacher, Anaytullah Head Constable, Saeed Akhtar SI, Tasawar Imran Constable, Sajid Hussain Constable, Waheed Gujjar Patwari, Chanpir, Nadim Goraya, Sajid Mehmud Notice Server Session Court, Muhammad Ramzan, Rashid Shabbir, Muhamad Zafar, Haji Muhammad Hanif and others. Director Anti Corruption informed that the accused persons had been sent to jail after presenting them before the Anti Corruption Court.
