PIA's post-Hajj operation begins

PIA post Hajj operation started to bring back more than 55,800 Hujjaj from Saudi Arabia to Pakistan commenced on Monday at Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore. The first Hajj flight for Lahore PK 6304 arrived early Monday morning, another hajj flight for Lahore PK 6301 followed by first Hajj flights for Islamabad PK 6312, PK 6314 for Peshawar and PK 6302 for Karachi bringing back a total of more than 1,500 Hujjaj to Pakistan. PIA is also bringing back Hujjaj through its regular scheduled flights.
The first post Hajj flight for Karachi PK 6302 arrived at Jinnah International Airport. Chairman PIA, Nasser NS Jaffer welcomed and received the Hujjaj and presented bouquets and rose garlands to the returning Hujjaj. Senior PIA officials were also present at the airport to receive the Hujjaj.
The Hujjaj of the first flights for Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar were welcomed by PIA District managers and senior officials of the airline. At Islamabad, the Hujjaj were welcomed and received by District Manager PIA Bashiruudin Khan & while retuning Hujjaj at Lahore were welcomed and received by District Manager Lahore, Saleem Ullah Shahani, and Station Manager PIA Tariq Majeed. The Hujjaj of first Hajj flight to Peshawar were received by District Manager PIA, Mohammad Ayaz.
Earlier, the returning Hujjaj were seen off by PIA Director Marketing and Customer Services, Khurram Mushtaq at Jeddah Hajj Terminal; present to oversee the Hajj operation from Saudi Arabia. PIA has made arrangements to provide information and guidance, including filling of immigration cards and security clearance at Jeddah Hajj terminal. The airline is also providing information to returning Hujjaj at PIA offices at Jeddah, Makkah and Medinah. PIA has also set up special counters at airports in Pakistan were returning Hujjaj are provided Zam Zam water bottles. The airline's post Hajj operation will conclude on 28 October 2015.
