American Ambassador Richard Olson met Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid-e-Azam President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and senior central leader and former deputy premier Chaudhry Parvez Elahi on Friday to talk about the relations as well as situation in the region. The meeting lasting for an hour also converged on the Indo-Pakistan relations and other matters of mutual interest. This was the diplomat's second meeting with the party's politicians in recent days.
The party bigwigs voiced their concerns over the latest Indo-Pakistan's deteriorating relations and also killings of civilians on the LoC in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir, saying after secret and subversive activities of the Indian secret agency in Balochistan, Karachi and other areas of Pakistan, India was now committing "an open aggression" which was terrorism and that the United States should take notice of that.
They said, "Peace in the region is essential and for this, peace in Afghanistan and peaceful solution of Kashmir are necessary whereas India is not ready for talks with Pakistan for a peaceful solution of Kashmir and other disputes and its attitude can become dangerous not only for regional but also for the world peace."
