Party, Sindh government affairs: Bilawal doesn't have full powers to take decisions

Chairman, Pakistan People's Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has not been given full authority to take decisions about party or Sindh government affairs, though he has been given "some space" by his father Asif Ali Zardari, a senior leader party leader told Business Recorder. According to sources, Bilawal has only 'partially' been authorised by his father to handle party matters but don't have the authority to appoint or dismiss those holding party offices as well as offices in Sindh government.
However, prior to undertaking consultations with party workers and taking decisions Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has to seek the advice of his aunt Faryal Talpur, they revealed. Recently, Bilawal presided over a number of party meetings in Islamabad, Lahore and Naudero to discuss party affairs and forthcoming local bodies' elections in Punjab and Sindh. In all these meetings she was accompanied by Faryal Talpur.
The source said that Jiyalas particularly of Punjab wanted Bilawal to have full powers to take any decision. PPP leader Naveed Chaudhry told Business Recorder that Bilawal was PPP's chairman and he had become "active" in party affairs. He said that Central Executive Committee of PPP had elected Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as party chairman but that he took decisions after consultation with Asif Ali Zardari and other senior leaders of the party. He added that the party has an executive body and its decisions are taken after consultations with the members of the executive committee.
