Minister of State for Education Engr Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman met with the delegation of GIZ on Wednesday. Minister of State and the participants of the delegation of GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) had a very good discussion on the ongoing projects of the GIZ in Pakistan. Germany and Pakistan have been partners in international co-operation for more than 54 years. GIZ has been working in Pakistan on behalf of the German Government, mainly the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Federal Foreign Office (AA).
Minister commended the GIZ programmes had been helpful in improving education sector in Pakistan. These programmes provide technical advisory services for the planning and management of education. They also conduct capacity development measures to underpin curriculum reforms. In this respect, they provide teaching and learning materials, as well as training, professional supervision and support for teachers.-PR
