22,919 candidates from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Fata, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Punjab, Balochistan and Sindh appeared in the entrance test held for admission in medical and dental colleges of the province here on Wednesday. According to details, test was held simultaneously at Islamia Collegiate Peshawar, Cricket Ground of University of Peshawar, Ayub Medical College Abbottabad, Grassy Ground Saidu Sharif Swat and University Wensem College D I Khan.
The test was conducted by the Educational Testing and Evaluating Agency (ETEA), while administrative arrangements for the test were provided by Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar. 22,919 candidates including 13,654 male and 9,265 female candidates appeared in the test.
The results of the test will be announced on Thursday (today) and would be available on KMU website www.kmu.edu.pk as well as on ETEA website www.etea.edu.pk. According to details at Islamia Collegiate 6,400 candidates appeared in the test whereas at University of Peshawar 6,624, Ayub Medical College, Abbottabad 3,826 students, Grassy Ground Saidu Sharif Swat 3,860 and at University Wensem College D I Khan 2,209 candidates appeared in the test.
The Vice Chancellor of KMU Professor Dr Mohammad Hafizullah lauded role of ETEA, KMU staff, police, civil administration, authorities of University of Peshawar and Islamia Collegiate School, parents and especially candidates for their co-operation and support.
