Pakistan Flour Mills Association (PFMA) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa hailed the federal government for withdrawal levy on wheat bran, termed the move was to avoid flour industries from crisis. This was stated by APFMA KP chairman, Naeem Butt, while presiding over a meeting of the association executive body here on Saturday, which was also attended by flour millers.
Butt said the flour industries have also been suffered due to prolonged terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He urged the KP should be declared as tax-free zone for longer period, to revive the terrorism affected businesses and industries in the province. Earlier, the federal government had imposed 7 percent sales tax on wheat bran. After the decision flour millers threatened to strike against the levy.
