Delimitation of union councils in Islamabad: ECP appoints Sharifullah for hearing representations, objections

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has appointed Sharifullah, Director Provincial Election Commission Punjab, for hearing and disposal of representations and objections with regard to delimitation of union councils of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) in accordance with the provisions of the Delimitation of Constituencies Act, 1974.
He has been appointed in exercise of the powers conferred under section 3A (3) of the Delimitation of Constituencies Act 1974 read with Rule 7 of the Delimitation of Constituencies Rules, 2015.
According to ECP schedule, preliminary list of constituencies by the Delimitation Officer will be prepared by May 22. Preliminary list of constituencies for inviting representations and objections and filling of representations and objections before the delimitation authorities will be completed from May 23 to May 30. June 6 will be last date for communication of decisions to delimitation authorities and final notice will be displayed on June 15.
