Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani has suspended DSP CTD, and ordered departmental inquiry against him on charges of mixing up with criminals. As per details, the IGP received various complaints against DSP CTD Qazi Ismat that he had close association with criminals particularly with kidnappers and involved in patronising the criminal elements.
The IGP checked these complaints from the relevant police high-ups who in their report termed it correct. The Police Chief in light of the report suspended DSP Qazi Ismat with immediate effect and closed him to the Central Police Office (CPO). The IGP appointed Regional Police Officer Kohat as enquiry officer with direction to conduct the departmental enquiry against the officer within ten days positively. While DIG Headquarters has been directed to issue show cause notice to the officer for award of major penalty.
