President Mamnoon Hussain has said that there is no room for terrorists in the country and the whole nation stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the security forces to eradicate the menace of terrorism from Pakistan once and for all. The President expressed these views while addressing the 48th Convocation of College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) here at a local hotel in Rawalpindi on Friday.
He said peace will be restored in Pakistan and in this region with complete eradication of terrorists. The President warned the terrorists to surrender before the state or else face the consequences, vowing that the fight against terrorism would be taken to its logical conclusion. He said that the whole nation is behind the security forces in the war against terrorism.
He said that terrorist attack on the school children cannot deter our resolve to fight against terrorism. He said that the cowardly attack has strengthened the resolve of the nation to root out terrorism from the country. The President said that the children and teachers who were martyred in the attack are the heroes of the country and their sacrifices will not go to waste. He said that the nation is determined for peace and stability and no one could shake the determination by creating hurdles in its way.
The President once again made it clear that Pakistan should be made a peaceful country by eradicating terrorists from the region. Earlier, the President underlined the need for taking effective measures for improving healthcare infrastructure in the country. He said that provision of universal basic health facilities play an important role in the overall development and progress of a country.
The President said that medial educationists and practitioners should keep themselves abreast of the latest technologies and advancements in order to not only excel in the fields of medical sciences, but also to positively be able to address the emerging challenges to health safety. The President emphasised that medical specialists should serve the people with dedication to give their best in the related fields. The President stressed on permanently extending modern healthcare facilities to rural and far-flung areas of Pakistan particularly to areas like Thar for effectively addressing health challenges and for dealing with any future health emergency.
The President also directed the federal and provincial departments concerned to extend every possible facility to CPSP so that the institute continues in its noble pursuit of achieving constantly improved healthcare for all in our motherland. The President expressed hope that CPSP would continue advancing the high principles of medical profession.
