The PPP Punjab has condemned the murder of ex-MPA of the PPP Sardar Khalid Saleem Bhatti, and strongly demanded a thorough probe into the incident and arrest of the culprit. The PPP spokesman said that there was a need to ascertain why such kinds of the incidents are occurring against the PPP leaders and workers in Punjab.
"The incumbent government should probe into the incident thoroughly," she said, adding that there has been insecurity in the Punjab for the PPP officials and workers and the government should take proper steps to control it. According to police, unidentified gunmen opened fire on Khalid Saleem Bhatti's car, leaving him injured on the spot. Sardar Khalid Bhatti was elected as Member Provincial Assembly of Punjab in general elections 2008.
