The Citizen Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) on Wednesday claimed to have recovered two victims from abductors in raids in Karachi during last 24 hours. A CPLC spokesman said that they received complaint that 8-year old master Tufail has been kidnapped from his Madressah in Hijrat Colony. The kidnapper demanded a ransom of Rs 5,00,000 release the by.
A joint SIU-CPLC team started working on the case and on Tuesday night it conducted a raid in Quaidabad, Landhi, and recovered the victim safely without paying any ransom. Abductor Qari Shaukat was arrested and he is being interrogated. In the same way, the CPLC and the paramilitary Sindh Rangers recovered a man Yousuf, (businessman) who was kidnapped by unidentified men, during a robbery in his house on the night of 14th and 15th of September from the jurisdictions of Bahadarabad police station.
"The abductors left Yousuf in an empty house near the Northern Bypass. The victim was found trapped in chains," he added. He said the Abductors demanded Rs 50 million as ransom money for the safe release of the victim. A FIR No-220/2014 was registered in Bahadarabad police station. He claimed to have arrested some suspected people, adding that they are being interrogated.
