Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar on Friday congratulated Amir Dogar, who won Multan by-polls beating Javed Hashmi with the support of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. Talking to media here, he said that Hashmi by accepting his defeat graciously followed democratic principles. Sarwar said he came to south Punjab to meet masses and to learn about their problems. "I am trying to solve problems being faced by people," he said, adding the government was trying to alleviate the sense of deprivation of the people of south Punjab.
