Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Thursday demanded fresh election in the country, saying that his party would move ahead with its scheduled 'million march' on Islamabad. "We want Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government be dissolved, a caretaker set-up be installed, and fresh election be announced. Nothing short of these will be acceptable to us," Imran said during an interview with a private TV channel.
Imran said that they would continue their sit-in in the capital till acceptance of their demands. Commenting on the deployment of Pakistan Army in Islamabad and a possible use force, Imran Khan said that in case of any Model Town like violence, he would like to take a bullet in his chest before anyone else.
He deplored that the rulers had decided to use the armed force as a shield to protect their 'illegal' rule. PTI chief also warned US and Saudi Arabia against meddling in the affairs of Pakistan. "I am asking both Washington and Riyadh not to interfere in Pakistan's politics, as it is not their business," Khan said. To a question, he said Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif was sending messages through a number of channels, but it was too late for a "deal."
He alleged that the rulers have turned democracy into monarchy. He further alleged that 33-year old son of the Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had Rs 200 billion assets aboard. He blamed the rulers for being involved in money laundering, corruption and tax evasion. To a question about defamation notice sent to him by the former chief justice Iftikhar Chaudhry, he said it would provide him a good chance to expose the 'misdeeds' of his son Arslan Iftikhar.
