Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated with religious fervour and traditional zeal in Balochistan on Tuesday. Faithful, hundreds of thousands in number thronged to Eidgahs, mosques and imambargah to offer Eid prayer. Eid prayer was offered in over 100 places in the provincial capital. Religious scholars in their sermons highlighted the significance of Eid day and offered special prayers for the solidarity, integrity, prosperity and progress of the country and Ummah.
They shed light on the philosophy of Eid and called upon the people to follow the teaching of last Holy Prophet Hazart Mohammad (PBUH). They stressed the need for unity among the Muslims Ummah and called for ending differences. Special prayers were offered for well-being of the IDPs and early liberation of Kashmir and Palestine people who were facing the barbarity of Israel. On this occasion special prayers were also offered for security, progress and prosperity of the country. Chief Minister Balochistan Dr Abdul Malik Baloch along with ministers and MPAs offered prayer at Governor House. He later exchanged Eid greetings with the people.
