UK-based international relief and development agency Muslim Aid announced the appointment of Hamid Azad as the new CEO of the organisation. Hamid Azad has been the Assistant Chief Executive of Muslim Aid for the last four years. Prior to this role, he worked as Head of Overseas Programmes within the Charity from 2006-2009.
Before joining Muslim Aid as a consultant to deliver its multimillion Tsunami response programmes in 2005, Azad worked as the Head of Community and International Programmes for three years in Faith Regen UK. He graduated in Law and Accountancy and was called to the Bar in 2001. Muslim Aid's new CEO brings with him over ten years of experience in a senior management position within the NGO and Community Development sectors.

He brings with him a rich experience of the development sector and a wealth of knowledge and talent in developing and implementing Relief and Development Programmes."
