Lucky Motor Corporation (LMC), assembler and distributor of Kia vehicles in Pakistan, has raised the prices of its Sorento models by up to Rs1.2 million, citing an increase in sales tax, while also introducing new hybrid variants of the Sportage and Sorento in the local market.
According to a customer notice issued by LMC, the company has absorbed the majority of the impact of the recent sales tax rate change to limit the price increase for customers.
The newly introduced Sportage L 1.6T FWD HEV has been priced at Rs12.199 million, while the Sportage L 1.6T AWD HEV will cost Rs13.299 million.

The company has discontinued the previous Sportage L Alpha, which was priced at Rs7.899 million, and the Sportage L 1.6T FWD HEV, previously priced at Rs11.299 million. The Sportage L 2.0L FWD, earlier priced at Rs10.499 million, is now available on a limited-stock basis.
LMC said the new Sportage L facelift features all-wheel-drive functionality, a redesigned exterior profile, Star-map DRLs, revised front and rear styling, new alloy rims and all-black gloss skirting. The interior features an all-black theme with Alcantara finish, heated and ventilated seats with memory function and a new two-spoke steering wheel.
Meanwhile, the Sorento 1.6T FWD HEV price has been increased from Rs15.299 million to Rs16.299 million, while the Sorento 1.6T AWD HEV has risen from Rs16.699 million to Rs17.899 million.
The price of the Sorento 3.5L V6 remains unchanged at Rs13.649 million.
LMC has also introduced the Sorento 1.6T AWD PHEV, priced at Rs18.999 million. The company said the plug-in hybrid variant would offer customers greater driving range between refuelling while combining internal combustion engine, hybrid and pure-electric capabilities.
According to LMC, the revised prices are aimed at providing maximum value despite the recent tax impact.
The company further said any new or additional duties, taxes or government-imposed charges applicable at the time of delivery would be borne by the customer.
Ex-factory prices are also exclusive of freight and insurance charges.
LMC added that the Equal Monthly Installment (EMI) facility will no longer apply to bookings made after August 15, 2026.
