MOSCOW: Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Pakistani counterpart Ishaq Dar discussed by phone on Friday bilateral cooperation and the situation in the Gulf.

In a statement, Russia’s Foreign Ministry said Lavrov praised Islamabad’s mediating role in efforts to reach lasting agreements between Iran and the U.S. and confirmed Moscow’s readiness to support those efforts.
