Iranian delegation under FM Araghchi to arrive in Pakistan tonight for peace talks: state media

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi is expected to arrive in Pakistan late Friday night with a small delegation as Islamabad prepares for a possible second round of peace talks between the United States and Iran, state-run Pakistan TV reported, citing government sources.
According to the report, Araghchi will arrive in Islamabad for key discussions with Pakistan’s mediation team amid ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at easing regional tensions and reviving dialogue between Washington and Tehran.
Government sources said that following these discussions, a second round of Islamabad peace talks between the United States and Iran is expected to take place.

They added that a U.S. logistics and security team is already present in Islamabad to facilitate the negotiation process.
The development comes after a phone call earlier on Friday between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Araghchi, during which the two leaders discussed the regional situation and ongoing diplomatic efforts.
Pakistan has been actively urging both sides to pursue dialogue and diplomacy, with Dar recently stressing that a ceasefire extension would provide space for meaningful negotiations and help avoid further escalation.
Islamabad has repeatedly expressed its willingness to support peaceful efforts aimed at resolving tensions through diplomatic channels rather than military confrontation.
