ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has delisted 13 political parties for not conducting intra-party polls.

The Election Commission announced its verdict here in Islamabad on Friday on the reserved judgment regarding intra-party polls of 15 political parties.

Reserved seats for women: Political parties submit priority lists to ECP

The parties whose registration cancelled included: All Pakistan Minority Alliance, All Pakistan Tehreek, Awami Party Pakistan (S), Bahawalpur National Awami Party, Sub ka Pakistan, Pakistan Peace Council Party, Pakistan National Muslim League, Pakistan Peace Party, Pakistan Equality Party, Christian Awami Party, Pakistan National Unity Party, Sunni Tehreek and Nizam Mustafa Party.

The lax attitude of EPC is duly noted. All political parties must hold fair and just Elections, not when the ECP wakes up, but every third year after the last national elections , if they want to participate in the forth coming elections, and at that time a copy of their Audited Accounts and a copy of the Wealth statement of every Party member standing for a position for their party elections , with no exceptions be first submitted to ECP . Non submissions of documentation would result in that person not being allowed to stand in their party elections . But that would be a democratic way , not, it seems our way of doing things
