China’s Afghanistan affairs envoy meets Pakistan foreign secretary in Beijing

BEIJING: China’s special envoy for Afghanistan affairs Yue Xiaoyong met with Pakistan’s foreign secretary Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi in Beijing last Thursday, the Chinese foreign ministry said in a statement on Monday.

Taliban says plans to formally join China’s Belt and Road Initiative

Both exchanged views on issues of common concern, it said.
