ISLAMABAD: The Federal Government is likely to appoint Saleed Ramazan, a BS-20 of Pakistan Administrative Service as Director General Pakistan Housing Authority Foundation (PHA).

PHA is a Public Company registered with Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) under Section 42 of the Companies Ordinance 1984. Working under administrative control of M/o Housing and Works, the objective of the PHA Foundation is to eliminate shelter shortage through development and construction of apartments for low-income groups, government employees and other specified groups of people as decided by the government time to time on ownership basis and at an affordable cost. During the Federal Cabinet’s meeting held on March 03, 2021. Tariq Rashid, (BS-21/SG), Chief Executive Officer, PHF has been appointed as Director General, Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGELA).

In term of regulation 11 of PHA-F Employees (Service) Regulations 2020, the post of CEO is to be filled either by initial appointment or by transfer is per Article 48 of Articles of Association of PHAF and Companies Ordinance, 1984 from amongst the serving civil servants in BS 20/21 from Occupational Groups with the approval of Federal Government. Since, the post is of Grade 20/21, the panel of following three officers is submitted for appointment of one of them as CEO, PHA Foundation; (i) Saleed Ramazan (BS-20/PAS) (currently posted as Joint Secretary (Training), Establishment Division, Islamabad); (ii) Hammad Shamimi, (BS -21/SG) (currently posted as Sr Joint Secretary.

Cabinet Division, Islamabad) and (iii) Amir Mohyuddin, (BS-20/SG) (currently posted as Joint Secretary (state), M/o Housing and Works, Islamabad).
