ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has reportedly decided to give the portfolio of Minister for Information and Broadcasting to Fawad Chaudhry who is also holding the portfolio of Minister of Science and Technology.
Reports claimed on Sunday that Fawad Chaudhry’s notification as Minister of Information and Broadcasting would soon be issued, as the Prime Minister has made a decision in this regard.
The portfolio of Minister of Information and Broadcasting was being held by Shibli Faraz until his retirement last month as senator who also got re-elected on 3rd of March. However, sources said that Faraz would be given another portfolio and his ministry would go to Fawad Chaudhry.
Previously Chaudhry was appointed as Minister for Information and Broadcasting on August 20, 2018 while in April 2019 he was given the portfolio of Minister of Science and Technology in wake of the cabinet reshuffle.
