ISLAMABAD: A 10-member larger bench will hear Justice Qazi Faez Isa’s and others’ review petitions against the Presidential Reference from March 1st, 2021.

A six-judge larger bench, headed by Justice Umar Ata Bandial, on February 22nd announced its reserved judgment with a 5-1 majority on the composition of the bench for hearing the review petitions.

Justice Manzoor Ahmad Malik disagreed. He said he would write a dissenting note.

The six-member bench had referred the matter to the chief justice for constituting the larger bench.

Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed, on Tuesday, constituted a 10-member bench, headed by Justice Umar Ata Bandial, and comprising Justice Maqbool Baqar, Justice Manzoor Ahmed Malik, Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Miankhel, Justice Sajjad Ali Shah, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, Justice Yahya Afridi, Justice Qazi Muhammad Amin Ahmed, and Justice Aminud Din Khan.

The petitioners have been directed to file six more sets of paper-books along with each and every document filed by them in the review petitions within two days. President Arif Alvi had filed a reference against Justice Isa.
