Justice Mazhar said that which law has been violated by creating a new district and whose jurisdiction is it to do? Court sought the procedure from the petitioner for creation of new district before issuing the notice to provincial government.

PTI MNA moved the court against the decision of Sindh Government that bifurcated district West of Karachi to carve out a new district namely. Dr. Aamir made Sindh Government and its departments respondents in the petition by praying the court to issue orders for the reversal of the decision to create new district Keamari in Karachi Division. He requested that the decision should be declared null and void as it is against the law.

According to the petition, the new district only serves to give a political advantage to the Pakistan Peoples Party, which is ruling in Sindh.
