The Lahore High Court (LHC) here on Thursday sought comments from Medical Superintendent (MS) Service Hospital and principal services institute of medical sciences in petition moved by 19 employees of the hospital seeking their regularisation. The petitioners Muhammad Shafi and others pleaded that they had been working as accounts assistant, receptionists and helpers for the period ranging from two to six years.
They said they were appointed on contract basis under selection policy. They pointed out that Chief Minister Punjab through a notification on October 14 directed all the autonomous /semi-autonomous bodies in Punjab to regularise appointments of contractual employees.
They said in the light of said notification services of 90 doctors were regularised along with nurses and para medical and other staff. They prayed to the court to direct the respondents to implement notification in question and regularise their services.
