Another petition has been moved in the Lahore High Court seeking directions to the President Asif Ali Zardari to abandon the office of Co-Chairman of Pakistan People's Party and stop taking part in political activities. The petition is filed by Ghulam Jilani of Awami People's Party who said in the petition that the president being the symbol of federation should maintain his impartiality and abstain from participating in political activities.
The petition is likely to be taken up on Thursday (today) by a five member bench which is already hearing two petitions on the same subject.
