Pakistan post has issued a commemorative postage stamp on the 7th NFC Award as a tribute to the spirit of national unity that led to the reaching of a consensus on NFC Award, after 19 years. The commemorative stamp was designed by Adil Salahuddin. The consensus of the NFC Award is a monumental and historic decision, which was agreed and finalised in Lahore, inked by the Members of Commission in Gwadar.
The provincial governments agreed upon the new national formula on reaching a financial consensus, for the first time in 19 years. The Award distributing formula will help in the unity of the federating units, besides ensuring enhanced allocations from the federal divisible pool.
To support the initiative taken by the government of Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan, Pakistan Post is also issuing a special commemorative postage stamp of Rs 8 denomination on 11-01- 2010, which will be available for sale at all the important post offices in the country. Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan Package was tabled by the government in a joint session of Parliament on 24-11-2009, which will pave the way for resolving socio-economical and political problems of Balochistan. It will also open a new era of development.
