Children of PIA Officials were awarded Gold, Silver, Bronze Medals and shields by PIA Senior Staff Association (PIASSA) for outstanding educational achievements at high school level during 2007-2009. An impressive ceremony was held at PIA Head Office, participated by management, officers and staff with their children. Director HR and Administration PIA, Haneef Pathan presided the function.
Over 400 students were awarded Shields and Medals who secured above 75% marks in Matriculation, Intermediate, O-Level and A-Level examinations for the years 2007, 2008 & 2009 and young children on becoming Hafiz-e-Quran. 15 students were awarded gold medals, 16 silver and 16 were awarded bronze medals for securing high percentile marks ie above 80% and those students who secured high number of A grades in O and A Level examinations while other students were awarded Shields.
Director HR & Administration, Haneef Pathan congratulated the students for attaining high marks in their respective examinations and also complemented the parents. He said that the officers of PIA should also work with the same zeal in their respective departments for the betterment of the airline. President PIASSA, Abid Saleem and General Secretary Mr Asad Sadiq also spoke at the occasion. The ceremony was attended by PIA Directors, General Managers, PIASSA Zonal Office bearers, Senior officers and their families.-PR
