City District Nazim, Mian Faisal Mukhtar has said that the continuous load shedding of gas, electricity and the surge in price hike has made it impossible to survive in the recent circumstances.
If the government didn't increase the salaries of government and private employees then government would have to face another crisis. He said that despite of huge reserves of wheat the price of flour bag has increased twice during the last couple of weeks, which is the clear proof of failure of government.
While talking to a press conference, Mian Faisal Mukhtar said that due to load shedding the life of common man has become tough and the industrial cycle is also suspended. He said that good governance is no where to be seen and poor class is adversely affecting from price hike. Our elected representatives are just protecting their own interests instead of talking on these issues. Responding a question, he said that government has no other system except local government. However the announcement of Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Sharif to keep the bureaucracy under elected local government representatives is a good sign.
Mian Faisal Mukhtar suggested that local government elections should be held under Election Commission instead of Provincial Government.
