World fastest man all set for Man United debut

Sprint legend Usain Bold will fulfill his lifelong dream to play for Manchester United when he dons the Red Devils shirts in a charity match against Barcelona next month.

Former Olympics gold medalist would make his dream debut at the Old Trafford on September 2 if he recovers from a hamstring injury.

The legendary sprinter could be lining up with United legends Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes in the event, which has been organised to raise money for the Manchester United foundation.

The 30-year-old Jamaican suffered a hamstring injury in his final race at the World Championships in London earlier this month.

"This has been his dream for many years. He’s desperate to do it as long as he can get over the injury," the Sun quoted its sources.

Bolt has recently spoken of his desire to play football now his athletics career, in which he won eight Olympic gold medals and is the current 100m world record holder, has come to an end.
