Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani and Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi will be accorded a rousing reception in the City on May 3, when they reach here for the first time after becoming ministers. The Prime Minister will be accompanied by Federal Information Minister Sherry Rehman and other high-ranking officials.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leaders and workers, representatives of civil society and people from various walks of life will receive the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister at the airport on Saturday afternoon. The motorcade of the Prime Minister accompanied by Foreign Minister will pass through Cantonment area, Chowk Dera Adda, Bohar Gate, Haram Gate. They will visit the shrines of Hazrat Musa Pak Shaheed (RA) inside the Pak Gate (walled city).
Later, Gilani and Qureshi will go to Qasim Bagh via Khuni Burj, Dehli Gate and Daulat Gate, and visit the shrines of Hazrat Bahauddin Zakariya (RA) and Hazrat Shah Rukn-e-Alam (RA). They will be given warm welcome at various places all along the entire road from airport to Qasim Bagh.
On May 4, the Prime Minister will distribute cheques of Bait-ul-Maal among the poor and deserving people at Multan Public School near Bosan Road. He will also visit Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) and will take part in the MCCI dinner.
He will address the local journalists at Press Club Multan at 0400 PM followed by a tea from Malik Salahuddin Dogar, ex-Mayor of Multan, and also pay visits to the residences of Malik Ahmad Hussain Dehr, Malik Aamer Dogar MPAs and Dr Javed Siddiqui, former MPA.
The Prime Minister will meet the local journalists at the MPC in the afternoon. He will also meet Syed Tanvir-ul-Hassan Gilani to condole the sad demise of his wife and other relatives the same day. On May 5, in the morning, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of Gilani Law College at Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan and will leave for Islamabad.
