The commencement day in honour of newly admitted students of 21st batch of MBBS, 18th batch of BDS, 13th batch of Pharm.D and 16th batch of MPH faculties of Baqai Medical University was held at the Saeeda Auditorium here on Tuesday.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Lieutenant General Syed Azhar Ahmed (Retd) welcomed the students and their parents and said that medical education is a highly specialised field.
We are teaching young generation in various disciplines of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and health management sciences in this university. We must define some goals on the highest principal of Islamic philosophy and modern concepts of modern medical sciences.
BMU stands unique because its syllabus is community oriented classroom education, which is coupled with visit to community from the first day of academic session. Thus the students get a better understanding of community and its health problems. The Chief Guest, Professor Dr Zafarullah Chaudhry, President, College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan spoke on the occasion to the newly admitted students, their parents.-PR
