Entry test for admission in medical colleges will be held at five centres throughout the province on October 2, chairman admission committee and principal King Edward Medical College Professor Mumtaz Hassan told APP here on Sunday.
He said entry tests will be held at five centres-Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur and Rawalpindi - on October 2 at 9.00 am.
He said candidates are required to pass the entry test with a minimum 40 percent marks. He said result for the entry test will be announced on October 9.
Candidates are required to submit their admit cards, personal data sheets, duly completed along with attested photostat copies of Matric, F.Sc and case of qualification other than F.Sc equivalence certificate from their Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) along with copies of the certificates against which the equivalence was claimed with domicile certificate, and Rs 700/- in cash as entry test fee from September 5 to 21.
The cards can be submitted from 8.30 am to 2.30 pm on Friday up to 12 noon, during working days from September 5 to 21 at any of the following places by hand only:
The places included King Edward Medical College, Lahore; Rawalpindi Medical College, Rawalpindi; Nishter Medical College, Multan; Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad and Quaid-e-Azam Medical College, Bahawalpur.
The chairman Admission Committee said admit cards will be issued during the above period only.
He said 1894 top candidates as per merit list will be eligible to submit their applications for admission to first year MBBS at King Edward Medical College, Lahore and for BDS at de'Montmorency College of Dentistry Lahore on the prescribed forms from October 13 to October 29.
Chairman Admission Committee said list of the selected candidates will be displayed on November 12, at King Edward Medical College Lahore and for BDS at de' Montmorency College, Lahore on the same date.
