US coffee futures prices closed a shade higher Tuesday as spread-related buying helped the market stabilise from a 9-month low the previous session, market sources said.
The New York Board of Trade's front-month September arabica rose 0.75 cent, or 0.8 percent, to settle at 96.90 cents a lb., having dealt from 96 to 97.90 cents. December advanced 0.55 cent to 101.45 cents a lb, and deferred deliveries gained 0.55 to 0.65 cents.
