The Indian Punjab police has released photographs of 11 Pakistanis who went missing after crossing the border to watch the first Pak-India Test match at Mohali in March this year.
They were the part of a group of 2,754 Pakistanis who were given visas to enter India through the Wagah border to watch the first five-day match that began on March 5, Indian media reported on Saturday.
The Pakistanis had come to India on valid visas. However, after the expiry of their visa term, they did not return to their country and went 'missing in India, a release issued by the state police said.
"As these missing persons were a threat to the sovereignty and security of the nation, information about their whereabouts could be given to the police immediately," it said.
Amritsar police had registered a case on March 31 against the missing Pakistanis under the Foreigners Act.
