The sources said the Food Department issues wheat to the flourmills for flour supply to the general public and to the provinces as per requisition by the federal government. The sources said due to government permission for wheat and flour import no requisition has so far been received by the provinces.
Last year when the procurement rate was fixed at Rs 350 to 360 per 40 kg the issue rate for the flour mills had been set at Rs 400.
