Executive Member of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI), Irfan Iqbal Sheikh, has termed the Punjab budget for 2005-06 as a reflection of the 2020 vision of the Chief Minister Punjab, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi. In a statement issued here on Friday Irfan said the government is focusing on provision of health and educational facilities. Apart from this, huge funds had been allocated for different developmental programmes. The government has also taken steps for the development of industry, he added.
He hailed the efforts aimed at setting up industrial estates at Sundar, Faisalabad, Multan and improvement of Kot Lakhpat industrial estate.
He said that provision of loans for small and medium enterprises; construction of Sheikh Zayed civic center Lahore and changes in social security system was also appreciable steps of the government.
