The lineup of vessels to load sugar in Brazilian ports rose to 48 on June 1 from 47 the previous week, shipping agent Williams said. In a weekly report, Williams said 34 vessels were lined up in the southern port of Santos, up from 27 last week. In the north-eastern port of Maceio, there were seven vessels, compared with 10 last week.
Cane harvesting in the center-south, which accounts for 85 percent of national output, is in full swing.
