A severe landslide hit a Tibet's expedition heading to north mountain on Friday killing one and injuring 10. The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) airlifted the injured by helicopter to a nearby hospital for treatment. They then decided to send the injured to Islamabad. The Chinese ambassador to Pakistan had asked Pakistan to give necessary assistance to the rescued expedition members.
The eleven-member expedition led by Sanju was due to scale the 8068 meters north glacier, Ionoe, which is the 14th and final peak that they had attempted when the accident happened, china radio reported.
