Officers associated with fire departments of different government and semi-government organisations have formed their own platform 'Pakistan Fire Officers Association' to work for the well being of the officials. According to statement, they have selected Sajjad Hussain Zaidi as President, Choudry Aziz Ahmed, Senior Vice President, Kazim Ali, Vice President and Raja Mohammed Altaf, General Secretary. Sajjad Hussain Zaidi, president of the association, who is also chief Fire officer of the Karachi Port Trust (KPT), said that they would organise training programmes for the officers as well as the fire-fighting cadre to improve their skill to help the people in any emergency-like situation.
Besides, he said that the association would work for the welfare of families of the officials.
