Thomas Bjorn took the British Masters title here on Sunday when he won the second hole of a sudden death playoff. Bjorn, David Howell and Brian Davis finished the tournament all tied at six-under for the championship. In the first hole of sudden death, the par three 18th, Bjorn and Howell managed pars. Davis put paid to his chances when he missed a nine foot par putt.
On the second sudden death, again the 18th, Bjorn ended the misery.
