Syria's state grains agency has tendered to sell 20,000 tonnes of soft baking wheat and 20,000 tonnes of hard durum amber wheat, traders said on Thursday. Bidding deadline on Tuesday (May 17). Both the soft wheat and durum is from Syria's 2004 crop. Both are for shipment between June 1 and July 15, 2005. Syria's grain agency has been relatively restrained in issuing new grain tenders this year, undertaking more direct sales and participation in international purchase tenders from other countries.
