Wheat rises on tight supply

Steadier trend was again witnessed on the grain market on Thursday as most of the commodities retained overnight levels amid cautious trading, dealers said. On the cereal side, wheat Mexipak gained Rs five to Rs 1,055 on strong demand, they added. Market sources attributed the rise in the wheat Mexipak prices to tight supplies, which were not enough to meet the market demand. Other sectors managed to hold their overnight levels in the process of trading, they said.
