Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan, Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar has announced that last date for submission of applications for issuance of postal ballot to the Returning Officer by the voters of Constituency No NA-271 Kharan-cum-Panjgur can be made till April 20. So that, all entitled persons, who are interested in casting their vote through postal ballot must apply to the concerned returning officers of their home town constituency before the due date.
Application forms are available with returning officer. However, if these forms fall short, their photocopies can also be used for the purpose, he added.
The government servants, members of the armed forces, holders of public offices, their wives and such of their children as are registered as voters and residing with them, can exercise their right of vote through postal ballot.
Similarly, persons detained in prisons or held in legal custody are also entitled to vote by postal ballot.
The polling personnel and officials of the law enforcing agencies, who have been assigned duties at the polling stations, can send their applications for postal ballot latest by April 25. Necessary instructions in this regard have already been issued to the returning officer for bye-election in NA-271 Kharan-cum-Panjgur.
