A delegation of Armed Forces Postgraduate Medical Institute (AFPMI) Rawalpindi visited Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital (SKMCH) here on Thursday. The delegation members led by Brigadier Izhar Chaudhry reviewed the performance of different departments of the hospital. Arrangements for comprehensive presentations were made regarding the hospital system, financial management, medical audit and peer review system, radiation safety and waste disposal.
Dr Asim Yousaf, Muhammad Farooq, Dr Basit Baig, Dr Khalid Nawaz and Farrukh Aziz Khan briefed the delegation members about their respective departments during the presentation.
The chief executive officer (CEO) of the hospital Dr Faisal Sultan answered various questions posed by the delegation members. Brigadier Izhar lauded the standard maintained, and quality care provided to the patients at the hospital.
