Vijender Singh is looking forward to have a one-on-one battle with Amir Khan. Khan has congratulated and gives a warning to the Indian boxer Singh, to beware as he articulated his desire to face the Champion.
Vijender had clinched his seventh straight success and the Super Middleweight label on Saturday. Khan also reacted to Vijender and his promoter Queensberry Promotions that hints at a possible face off.
According to Indian media report Vijender said, “Mine and Amir's weight categories are different. So, in case he increases his weight or I decrease mine then we can work it out. We are thinking about it, so let's see. I hope that when that big fight happens, it happens in India only".
WBA lightweight world champion British boxing star Amir Khan responds to Vijender Singh and his promoters' on twitter, he said, “Congratulations to @boxervijender on the win. Careful what you wish for kid!”
Amir Khan had also articulated a wish to take on Vijender in India. He is currently in Dubai, recently tried himself in the middleweight by taking on world champion with Alvarez who belonged to a different weight category. Khan fought well till the sixth round, but, Alverez’s one powerful strike knocked him out.
