KHAR: The temporarily displaced people (TDPs) of Charmang Valley of Bajaur Agency received compensation cheques here on Thursday.
Bajaur Agency's Political Agent, Abdul Amir Khattak distributed cheques among 89 TDPs belonged to various areas of Charmang valley at a ceremony held at the residence of Senator Hidaytullah Khan at Nawagai town.
The Political Agent said the political administration expedited efforts to ensure early rehabilitation of displaced persons of Charmang.
The administration with the financial support of government and non-governmental organisations had initiated a number of projects for rehabilitation of the displaced persons with special focus on socio-economic projects, he added. Senator Hidayatullah and tribal elders thanked the government for providing compensation to the TDPs.
