imageMUZAFFARABAD: The state Disaster Management Authority (DMA) chalked out a plan to meet upcoming monsoon challenges.

All the concerned departments were given responsibilities to face the challenges during monsoon with professional manner.

These views were expressed by the DMA Chairman Skinder Sultan Raja while chairing a meeting here Sunday.

Secretaries, commissioners, deputy commissioners and other heads of concerned departments besides Chairman DMA Major General Sagheer Nawaz attended the meeting.

Secretary DMA Zaheer Qurashi on this occasion briefed the meeting about pre-monsoon preparations.

He said that a comprehensive plan has been chalked out to safeguard the life and property of the people from the possible disasters of the monsoon floods.

DMA is completely prepared to meet any emergency situation in AJK, he added.

He also informed the meeting that DMA has taken many steps to meet any emergency during the monsoon season and all the concerned departments were issued alerts to meet the flood situation during the monsoon rains.
